EXECUTIVE & LEADERSHIP COACHING
Leadership gives you plenty of places to perform. Coaching gives you a place to think.
Sarah Ciavarri provides one-on-one executive coaching for leaders who want space to think clearly, navigate complexity, strengthen how they lead, and make thoughtful decisions about what comes next.
A confidential thought partnership for the decisions, relationships, and challenges that come with leadership.
WHEN EVERYONE LOOKS TO YOU
Leaders need somewhere they don’t have to have the answer yet.
Leadership can be surprisingly lonely—not because you're alone, but because so many of your relationships come with responsibility.
Your team needs direction. Your colleagues need partnership. Your boss or board may need confidence. And sometimes the very people you would normally talk something through with are part of the thing you're trying to figure out.
That's where coaching can be incredibly valuable.
It's a place to say the thing you're not ready to say in the meeting. To sort through what you know, what you're assuming, and what you still need to understand. To notice where you're getting stuck. To consider a different perspective. And sometimes, simply to hear yourself think.
Sarah doesn't come to coaching with a formula for the person sitting across from her. She brings curiosity, thoughtful questions, perspective, challenge when it's useful, and more than 1,400 hours of coaching experience.
You don't need someone else telling you what to do. Sometimes you need the right person helping you hear what you already know—and discover what you haven't considered yet.
COACHING WITH SARAH
Sometimes you need a different vantage point.
Sometimes you need to talk through a decision. Sometimes you're trying to understand why a relationship or situation keeps getting under your skin. Sometimes you know something needs to change, but you haven't figured out what—or how.
And sometimes you simply need an hour where no one needs anything from you.
Coaching gives you an opportunity to step back and look at what's in front of you from a slightly different angle. The situation may not have changed. But from another vantage point, you may notice something you couldn't see before.
Sarah brings curiosity, warmth, humor, and thoughtful challenge to coaching conversations. She listens for what's being said—and what might be underneath it. She asks questions that help leaders slow down, notice patterns, test assumptions, and consider perspectives they may have missed.
There may be a framework or tool that helps. There may be a question worth sitting with. There may be a moment when Sarah says, “Can I tell you what I'm noticing?” And there will almost certainly be times when the two of you laugh.
Same situation. A little more of the landscape in view.
WHAT LEADERS BRING TO COACHING
The questions are as varied as the leaders.
DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS
Navigating relationships, conflict, or conversations you've been putting off.
CHANGE & UNCERTAINTY
Leading when the path forward isn't entirely clear.
DECISIONS
Thinking through choices when there isn't an obvious right answer.
NEW ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Finding your footing when the expectations—or the stakes—have changed.
INFLUENCE
Leading and creating movement when you don't have all the authority.
BOUNDARIES & ENERGY
Getting clearer about what is—and isn't—yours to carry.
LEADING UNDER PRESSURE
Noticing patterns and choosing how you want to respond.
WHAT'S NEXT
Exploring career questions, possibilities, or a sense that something needs to change.
You don't have to know exactly what you need. That's part of what we can figure out together.
WAYS TO WORK TOGETHER
Coaching designed around the leaders—and the organization.
ONE-ON-ONE EXECUTIVE COACHING
Confidential, individualized coaching for leaders navigating the decisions, relationships, responsibilities, and changes that come with leadership.
Most of Sarah's executive coaching engagements are sponsored by organizations investing in the growth and effectiveness of their leaders.
Coaching can be structured as a focused engagement or an ongoing leadership-development partnership.
LEADERSHIP COHORT COACHING
A shared coaching experience for leaders who benefit from learning not only with Sarah, but with one another.
Sarah designs and facilitates leadership cohorts that combine coaching, practical tools, reflection, and peer learning. She has particular depth working with healthcare and public health leaders, including facilitating over 10 leadership cohorts for Minnesota public health professionals.
The structure may be different. The goal is the same: helping leaders think well, lead well, and keep growing.
