The Daring Way™
About the The Daring Way™
Sarah is a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator and Consultant. The facilitator part means you can often find Sarah leading 40 church leaders who want to go deeper into their faith by connecting it to Brené's research, or creating safe sacred space for a small group of leaders to explore the research and increase their leadership capacity, or attentively listening in a one-on-one session - all with the goal of becoming more resilient, grow emotionally and spiritually, and experience renewal. Sarah also works with teams in ministry, non-profits, or business who are looking for empowerment when they might be stuck or simply needing a boost to bounce back more quickly. Into these events, Sarah integrates her skills of deep listening, empathy, and non-judgment learned through her 1600 hours of Clinical Pastoral Education and her current coaching training.
Sarah is also deeply honored to have been asked to be a case consultant with the Daring Way™. In this capacity, she works with candidates in the Daring Way™ after they have completed national training to assist them in integrating their learning into their current context. Sarah's speciality in case consulting is church leaders and other faith leaders who connect the research in faith contexts.
The Daring Way™ is a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. The method was developed to help men, women, and adolescents learn how to show up, be seen, and live braver lives. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing a courage practice that transforms the way we live, love, parent, and lead. Using the metaphor of an arena, we explore the role of empathy and self-compassion, the power of discerning who has earned our trust, distilling our core values, and navigating through shame storms with more authenticity.
The Daring Way™ curriculum can be experienced before or after the Rising Strong™ curriculum.
